Wild Nettle Extract
Hand harvested from a biodynamic vineyard in Kent and extracted in house using a gentle, low temperature method. Naturally rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, nettle has a long history of use in hair care. In a cleanser it works where it matters most, at the root, helping leave the scalp feeling clean, comfortable and in good condition rather than stripped.

Pea Peptide
Made in Yorkshire from British peas, gently broken down into smaller peptides and amino acids. A plant based conditioning ingredient that helps your hair feel softer, smoother and easier to manage, with a light, protective feel from root to tip.

Four Natural Coconut Derived Cleansers
Rather than one harsh sulphate doing all the work, the Cleanse uses four gentle coconut derived cleansers chosen to work in synergy. Together they lift away oil, product and daily build up while staying kind to the hair and scalp, giving a soft, creamy lather and leaving hair clean rather than squeaky and stripped.

Aloe Vera
Long valued for its hydrating properties and its affinity with the scalp. Helps the scalp stay comfortable and hydrated through washing, so cleansing never leaves it feeling tight or dry.

Olive Squalane
A natural emollient from olives that mimics sebum, your hair and scalp's own oil, helping hair stay soft and manageable through cleansing.

Vitamin E
A natural antioxidant that helps protect hair and scalp from daily environmental stress and helps hair retain moisture for a softer, shinier appearance.

Natural Fragrance
My in house botanical blend of essential oils and one absolute: petitgrain, geranium, lavender, clary sage, cypress, rosemary, thyme and oakmoss. Fresh, green and floral. No synthetic fragrance.

How To Use - What To Expect

❶ Apply to wet hair.

❷ Massage into the scalp and work through, taking up to two minutes.

❸ Rinse thoroughly.

❹ Repeat if required.

About The Nutrient Hair Cleanse

Nutrient Hair Cleanse is a gentle, natural sulphate free shampoo designed to cleanse both hair and scalp without stripping either. Handmade in small batches in the UK, this natural sulphate free shampoo features wild nettle extract hand harvested from a biodynamic vineyard in Kent and extracted in my own studio, alongside a blend of plant based ingredients that clean thoroughly without unnecessary synthetics.

Four mild coconut derived cleansers, wild nettle, British pea peptide, aloe vera, olive squalane and vitamin E combine to lift away oil, product and daily build up while leaving hair soft and the scalp comfortable and balanced. The lather is softer and creamier than a sulphate shampoo, which is normal and no sign it is cleaning less.

Suitable for all hair types including colour treated hair, this natural sulphate free shampoo is balanced to a pH of 5.1 to 5.4 to sit in line with hair's own. To use, apply to wet hair, massage through the scalp for up to two minutes, rinse thoroughly and repeat if needed. Follow with Nutrient Hair Condition.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this shampoo sulphate free?

Yes. The Nutrient Hair Cleanse contains no SLS or SLES. It uses a mild coconut derived cleansing system instead, which produces a softer lather and is gentler on both hair and scalp.

Why does it lather less than my usual shampoo?

Sulphates produce a big, immediate foam. That foam is not what cleans your hair, it is just what we have been trained to expect. The Nutrient Hair Cleanse gives a softer, creamier lather while still cleansing thoroughly. Applying to properly wet hair and taking a full two minutes to massage it through makes all the difference.

Can I use it on colour treated hair?

Yes. It is formulated at a pH of 5 to 5.5 and free from sulphates, both of which make it a gentler choice for coloured treated hair.



Do I need the conditioner as well?

The Cleanse and the Condition are designed to work together, and I would recommend using both. The Foundation Spray then goes on afterwards as a leave-in for detangling and daily protection.
